Problem: Coming on-line after previous TA’s and encountering multiple issues, including leaks.
Solution: HSI recently utilized our ASME PCC-1 certification for a client, operating with the sole purpose of providing QA/QC personnel during a facility turnaround operation. Our knowledge and understanding of technical bolting through ASME enabled us to ensure that work packs were correct prior to being issued. Work was then completed correctly and efficiently.
Problem: Riser runs taking longer than expected, tooling issues and limited personnel availability from the manufacturer.
Solution: HSI utilized our ASME PCC-1 qualified personnel and expertise within the industry to provide the client with a value added proposition. HSI obtained factory training on the riser tensioning tool, trained additional personnel and was awarded a monthly PM schedule for the client.
The issues were identified and remedied which resulted in a tool that worked when needed. Our personnel have also become proficient at the process of running the tool, ultimately resulting in a successful riser run operation.
At a Deepwater facility, an inoperative tool becomes a critical issue and any associated downtime results in a backup process that is considerably slower (in some instances, days vs. hours), and resulting in a much less efficient operation.
Problem: A cut and bevel was required on a short notice, high profile pipeline project.
Solution: HSI was able to utilize its inventory of split frame saws and qualified personnel to respond to the client’s needs and perform the necessary cut and bevel. The job was completed safely and well within the client’s proposed budget.
This same client routinely hires HSI to perform high pressure hydrostatic testing for sub-sea jumpers that are manufactured at their facility for a multitude of deepwater clients.
Problem: Client required multiple personnel in Cushing, OK to assist with the tie-in and completion of a tank farm.
Solution: HSI was able to mobilize twenty personnel to perform various services such as torque work, tensioning and cold cutting in order to ensure that the client’s deadline was achieved and quality maintained. Job was completed on time and most importantly, safely.
